Description
The KANE-EGD is a professional-grade combustible gas leak detector designed to help engineers, gas technicians, and safety professionals quickly locate and identify small leaks in gas systems, appliances, pipelines, and installations. Its solid-state semiconductor sensor delivers reliable detection of a wide variety of combustibles (including methane, propane, hydrogen, and many solvents) with sensitivity thresholds down to < 50 ppm methane and > 20 ppm hydrogen. A flexible gooseneck probe with LED tip-light gives you access to confined spaces and dark areas, while audible tick rates and multi-colour LED feedback guide you toward leak location.
Built for field use, the KANE-EGD weighs approximately 250 g and is powered by 2 × AA batteries for convenience. Its compact form, responsive detection, and intuitive interface make it well suited to gas safety checks, maintenance inspections, leak surveys, and compliance work in both domestic and industrial environments. The device is sold with the (optional) Kane Care servicing and calibration backing to keep performance reliable over its lifespan.
