Description
The KANE 4290/2 Depth Stop Cone is an adjustable accessory designed for use with 8 mm diameter combustion or flue gas probes. It acts as an insertion depth limiter, enabling technicians to maintain consistent sampling depth across multiple tests. This ensures repeatability, prevents over-insertion that could damage probe sensors, and protects delicate probe tips.
Compatible with probes like KMCP10, KMCH, and SM12527, the 4290/2 depth stop cone slips over the probe shaft and can be positioned as needed before locking in place. When not being used to control depth, the cone may be shifted to the end of the probe to provide a form of tip protection during transport or storage.
