The KANE 17320 Depth Stop Cone is a precision accessory used to control the insertion depth of 6 mm diameter combustion or flue gas probes during testing and measurement. By mounting the stop cone onto the probe shaft, technicians can reliably maintain a consistent measurement depth across multiple readings—improving the repeatability and safety of flue diagnostics. When not used for depth control, the cone can be slid to the probe end to provide protection for the delicate thermocouple tip.
This adjustable depth stop cone is ideal for use with probes such as the KMCP2 (CP2) 6 mm probe, but can work with any 6 mm diameter probe shaft. It’s an inexpensive yet important accessory for professionals who aim to minimize measurement error and protect their probes in field use.
